Buddha at work

The author has exhibited enormous courage throughout the book. The most beautiful thing described in the book is how flawlessly the author has overcome all the harsh realities of corporate life by practicing spirituality. Most if the times, we are unable to relate our day to day life with the spirituality and we conveniently neglect it by saying that such miracles only happen in the ashrams. The book can truly be considered as a modern solution for tackling problems in corporate using an ancient approach. Maintaining a clear and focused state of mind is one of the key requirements for success in personal as well as professional life. I'm looking forward to apply most of the techniques that've been described in this book in day to day life. The way in which the author has related Buddha's ideologies with corporate structure is very interesting to read. The book is available on Amazon in Paperback and Kindle editions. Happy reading !!! Rating: 4.5/5

Expecting Daddy Delivers : A book review

In association with Kharidobecho.in (@kharidobechobooks ). Check @kharidobechobooks for affordable Book deals. 'Pregnancy' is considered to be one of the most beautiful and satisfying moments in a woman's life. The pain through which a woman undergoes can't be expressed by mere words. The book speaks about the different stages in pregnancy as separate chapters. The quality which I personally liked about the author is the honesty with which this book is written including the preface. One has to read the book till the very end to perfectly understand strange yet the perfect title. Some of us might feel that the book is about feminism and stuff but although the author is herself a woman, she has tried her best to portray men's point of view. The book is full of positivity and self confidence which makes it a must-read for women as well as their partners. To put it in a nutshell, the book discards all the misbeliefs about unplanned pregnancies and casts a light on the ...

A letter to Phoebe & Joey

Image
Dear Joey & Phoebe, One of you is a savage girl while the other is a handsome hunk. In spite of all the judgements passed by people, you never forgot to live the life to the fullest. One, madly in love with the Pizzas and the other, madly in love with the guitar. You both were kind of outsiders in a group. Maybe that’s the reason you cared about each other very much. Both artists, lost in their own world. Phoebe, the moment you came to Central perk dressing like Ursula to talk to Joey is unforgettable. He, with the heart of a baby didn’t recognize you but still chose friendship over love. The way in which you hugged Joey, ( pressing something against him)is quite funny and memorable. We still remember you teaching him how to play guitar with your unique life examples. When he was really sad about Rachel, you helped him by offering the ‘World’s happiest dog’. ( which afterwards became the saddest one ). Joey, we miss you both playing chess and not giving a fuck about the ru...

Iconic characters - 4 ( A letter to Prateek Kuhad)

Dear Prateek, It was 2 AM when I came across one of the random Indie folk playlists and listened to ‘Cold/Mess’. It was one of the sweetest 2AMs in my entire life. I had never been drowned so deep in thoughts before listening to this melody. This song has now created a history in itself by making its way to Barack Obama’s playlist and thereby making you first and the only Indian songwriter/singer who has made this possible. Your musical journey from a music school in Rajasthan to NYU is really inspirational. There is not a single post on Instagram about you that I’ve just scrolled without reading. You’re not only the face of Indie folk music but also our saviour from the daily chaos. “ Prateek, tum thake hue din ki sukoon wali shaam ho.” It’s been two years since I've been following you on social media platform. I must tell you that I haven’t seen a single concert as beautiful and serene as yours. If peace ever had the face, that would definitely be yours. There is an ultima...

A letter to F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Dear F.R.I.E.N.D.S , As usual, I opened Instagram and saw Jennifer Aniston’s post today. At first I thought it was just a picture. When I read the caption, I was like… Seriously??? It’s a REUNION. Oh my gosh… after 25 years and all the rumours about the reunion, finally it’s going to be aired. This is one of the best things on the internet today. I think there are no words to describe this beautiful SITCOM. Oh what am I saying? It’s not just a SITCOM, it’s a journey of six friends who are always there for each other. There are people out there who have watched all the 236 episodes literally hundred times and are still watching their favourite ones. Uniqueness in all the characters is the secret ingredient in this delicious cuisine which made you conquer peoples’ hearts. This letter is addressed to Joey, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe and Central perk. Joey, a born foodie, purest soul and the most handsome dude in the group. Dr. Drake Ramoray, one of his best works as ...

The iconic characters - 3

Dear Sid, “Wake up Sid.. Wake up from your bed and go to work.”That’s exactly what your father always used to say but you conveniently ignored him. Didn’t you? Ahhh..we know that you were not made for that 9-5 desk job. You were passionate about nothing but hanging out with friends, playing video games and sleeping like a sloth bear. There was a major setback after which your life substantially changed like anything. Not a single time in your life you would have thought about that day but dude, it’s life and it fucks really hard. In the heat of argument, you left your place without thinking anything about the provision of living and straight away knocked a door. It was Aisha’s. Aisha, the most beautiful chapter of your story. “Aisha, yaar aisi jagah pe rahegi tu? Mere chhotu ka kamra isse bada hai” We still remember those words you said to Aisha once. Unfortunately, even chhotu’s kamra was already closed for you. You were standing at her door with wet eyes. Disappointed. B...
