A Stubborn hearted Girl
29th October, 7:00 PM
After listening to the music for two hours, finally she kept her phone on the table and opened her diary. “Hello Diary… I’m back. Not strong as previous but yeah I’m me. I think we hold that much of bonding so that you can get an idea about my fever from the temperature of the ink from my pen. Haha…Jokes apart. I’m going through so many things; there are not many ups but many downs in my life. I took sleeping pills but they didn’t work. When I tried to tell someone, they said “Are you mad? You look very much fresh. You can’t be ill. So my dear Diary, I chose you to share all my shear madness.
Suddenly, the phone rang. “Helloo Papa, How are you? How’s Mommy? I’m damn excited to see you all and don’t worry about me, your Baccha is learning the ups and downs in life happily. No Papa….it’s just a minor fever, nothing else. I’ll be alright in a day. Tell Momma that I miss our stupid quarrels. How’s she? My small baby, my momma. She must be angry because I didn’t call her since couple of days. Anyway Pappa I got to go. There’s a plenty of Homework. Take care Papa. She again plugged in the earphones and sat on the chair thinking “What’s wrong with me? How can everything be so unfair?”
Two years back ….
“Papa, I got 89% in 9th. I know they’re somewhat less but don’t worry, I’ll cover up in 10th.”, she said. Maybe her timing was wrong. There was some sort of argument between her Momma and Papa. “I can’t tolerate this anymore. How can you compare yourself with my sister? She’s ten times better than you.” he shouted. Mommy went inside the kitchen. Papa also became somewhat sad after that. She sat beside him and said, “ Papa, Mommy doesn’t compare herself with aunty. She just wants some extra attention from you sometimes. She loves you a lot but fears to tell you.” Papa hugged her after that. Many of such quarrels happened afterwards and Diary became her best friend. She has a really bad past but manages to smile every time. She cares a lot for her family, friends. It’ll be wrong to call friends separately because her friends are like a family to her.
One day, she came in the room, threw the bag and went to Wash Basin. She washed her face thrice but couldn’t stop crying. She hated to cry in front of anyone. There were many reasons behind that- unsatisfactory grades, fever, friendship issues. Somewhat, she managed to smile again and came inside the room, sat on her bed and started scrolling the newsfeed. There are many things going in her mind but she likes to get recovered on her own. I’ve rarely seen a girl who doesn’t like sympathy at all and wants to gift a Royal Enfield bike to her Papa after his retirement.
Starting an Orphanage is her dream. She is a very good learner and a quick one too. If she’s unable to get what she wanted, she keeps on trying 4-5 times in a row but never gives up and tells excuses. She says, “Dreams can’t become reality unless you have the desire to chase them.” She has spent more than five years in a hostel but when it came to her brother she told Papa, “Give him a separate room if you can rather than a hostel. He shouldn’t face the things which I did.” Adjustment is in her blood because she says I never get what I wanted so easily. So, I’m used to adjustments. But there are many people who take advantage of such nature. She is a very good secret keeper and there are many who share their problems with her. Unfortunately, there’s no one to listen to her problems, because everyone thinks that she’s smiling, how can she be in trouble.
She got up from the chair and smiled looking at the tube light outside the window and told herself, “ Many of you say that I’ve changed. I’ve become annoying but no one thinks what made me to change.”
She’s with everyone but she’s alone. She’s happy but she’s sad. She’s smiling but she’s crying. She is trying and she won’t give up because she is a stubborn hearted girl….
